American Gospel: Christ Alone

American Gospel does not hold back; the camera pans back to the outer boundaries of auditoriums at Hinn crusades, where desperate parents cradle diseased children, ignored, unwanted, and unhealed. We watch this, and we hear Justin Peters testify to this experience personally, and we cannot help but feel both sadness and righteous anger—Christ’s own anger. The money-changers are still in the temple, still making God’s name a mockery. – Owen Strachan, ‘American Gospel’ Blows a Hole in the Prosperity Gospel, TGC, Jan 17, 2019

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (ESV)

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

Trailer to American Gospel: Christ Alone

1 Hour Version available to view free on YouTube. The full film is highly recommended. Share with your friends and family. The Gospel IS this important where we must speak up for The Truth that saves sinners and out against false teachers taking on the name of Christianity and trampling the Cross of Christ. Pray for your loved ones that the Holy Spirit will open their eyes to these false teachers. And that they come to a saving faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Holiness of God – R.C. Sproul

The Holiness of God, moderated by Anthony Salangsang, adjunct professor at Reformation Bible College starting today, March 18, 2019.

Course Summary: Join R.C. Sproul as he presents the terrifying biblical picture of God’s awesome holiness and why it is so foundational to God-centered, God-honoring theology and Christian living.

Course Description: When Isaiah encountered our most holy God, he became terrified and cried out, “Woe is me!” Isaiah’s experience of the holiness of God is not unlike our own. God’s holiness both fascinates and terrifies us. It reveals to us who we are, and that can either drive us away in fear or cause us to cry out for mercy. In The Holiness of God, Dr. R.C. Sproul illustrates the majesty of God’s holiness through a biblical and historical study of what people experience when they encounter the Holy One and find ultimate refuge in the righteousness of Christ.

Introduction to Biblical Theology – Dr. Thomas Schreiner, The Master’s Seminary

Over the Christmas holidays, I was looking for a good Biblical Theology course that I could take on my own time and I came across one from The Master’s Seminary and led by Dr. Thomas Schreiner. This course is divided into 31 parts on their YouTube channel. I did purchase Dr Schreiner’s text called The King in His Beauty: A Biblical Theology of the Old and New Testaments.

Currently, I’m in lecture 3 and already enjoying this course!
